PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for an electric fence capable of eliminating the necessity of regulating the height of wiry material mounting tools and preventing the shift of the wiry material mounting tools even during driving in, etc., of the support when the electric fence designed to support and stretch bare wires through the wiry material mounting tools is installed. SOLUTION: This support 1 for the electric fence is designed to support and stretch the bare wires 2a and 2b through wiry material mounting tools 3a and 3b. The support 1 is obtained by forming a coating layer 5 composed of a synthetic resin on a pipe member 4 and installing protruding parts 6a and 6b for the wiry material mounting tools 3a and 3b capable of regulating engaging positions of the wiry material mounting tools 3a and 3b on the surface of the coating layer 4.
