The device (6) is designed as an accessory for a furniture item for a person (3) lying or sitting down, and it comprises a tube (7) with an inlet and outlet, a fan mounted inside the tube and an air filter device (8) mounted inside the tube in order to remove allergens such as housedust mite faeces, dead human and animal skin and pollen, as well as non-allergenic irritants such as tobacco smoke, aromatic substances, bacteria and viruses. Air sucked in via the inlet is passed through the filter device and exits as a laminar flow with a maximum velocity of 50 (10-20) cm/s. The tube outlet is positioned so that this flow substantially envelops the head (4) of the person lying or sitting down. |
