摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating mechanism for an electronic musical instrument which is capable of exactly performing after-touch control and other musical tone operations by a simple structure. SOLUTION: Spreading materials 2 are supported by means of an elastic member 5 on a holding frame 4 for holding a moving member 1 and the provided with a detecting element 3 so as to detected the change in the longitudinal direction of the spreading materials. The holding frame 4 is provided with an engaging section 7 detached from a position where the moving member 2 to be detected is held in-between. The spreading materials 1 are supported at one end on the one engaging section and are wound at least once around both engaging sections and the other ends of the materials are supported at the engaging sections existing at the winding ends. The spreading materials 2 which are wound around the engaging sections are arranged in the position where the spreading materials can come into contact with the moving member 1. Since the spreading materials 2 are spread to wind around the engaging sections, the total amount of their bending is increased by as much as the winding around thereof when the moving member comes into contact therewith and the change in the longitudinal direction detected by the detecting element is correspondingly greater.
