PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly rigid, thin and compact optical head device which hardly causes resonance with a disk and is hardly deformed. SOLUTION: This optical head device is characterized in that a reinforcing side wall 25 is provided in the inside roughly parallel to the outer peripheral sidewall 22 of an optical head case 1 to form a dual structure, a notch 26 is provided in the reinforcing sidewall l25, the reinforcing side wall 25 is connected to the outer peripheral sidewall 22, the wire support part 17 of an actuator 9 is fixed to the reinforcing sidewall 25, and a conductor 29 for driving the actuator 9 is inserted into a gap 30 surrounded with the reinforcing sidewall 25 and the outer peripheral sidewall 22.
