PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetostrictive vibration motor with high efficiency. SOLUTION: This magnetostrictive vibration motor includes a stator 1, and a rotor 2 which is brought into pressure contact with the end of the stator 1 in the axial direction and rotates, based on the vibration. The stator 1 includes a magnetostrictive element 8 which generates vibration by a change in magnetic field, a field coil 9 which is mounted so as to surround the outer periphery of the magnetostrictive element 8 and develops alternating field, based on alternating current, a permanent magnet 10 which is mounted so as to surround the outer periphery of the field coil 9 and develops bias field in one direction, and lower and upper yokes 6, 7, which clamps the magnetostrictive element 8, the field coil 9, and the permanent magnet 10 in the axial direction, and constitutes a magnetic path together with the field coil 9 and the permanent magnet 10. |
