PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video radio transmitting and receiving system that enhances the operability of switching operation of a plurality of video inputs and reduces power consumption of a transmitter side/receiver side power supply circuit section. SOLUTION: When an operation means 40 in a video receiver 30 operates selection of a video input, a receiver side control circuit section 39 controls a data signal generating circuit section 38 to generate a selection data signal. A transmitter side control circuit section 19 in a video transmitter 10 controls a video input changeover circuit section 14 to select one of a plurality of video signal generators 11, 12, 13 based on the selection data signal and controls a 1st switch circuit section 20 to start supply of power from a transmitter side power supply circuit 17 to only a selected video signal generator.
