<p>Software development using gestures includes, receiving, in an integrated development environment (IDE), a gesture input through a gesture capture device and matching, using a processor, the gesture input to a selected gesture of a plurality of gestures. Each of the plurality of gestures is mapped to a programmatic action of the IDE. The programmatic action mapped to the selected gesture is determined.
