PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for controlling transmission/ reception of radio data to maximize effects of advertisement and presentation of information on the provider side by offering facility for a visitor by enabling the visitor to personally select and collate required information. SOLUTION: Data to be transferred from the server 20 to the terminal are sorted into many items and stored in a data base 40. The server 20 transfers an item selection program to the terminal 30 so that the user of the terminal 30 can select the contents intended to be received from the server 20 by every item, the terminal 30 transfers item selection information inputted by the user through the item selection program to the server 20. The server 20 transfers the data corresponding to the selected item among pieces of data in the data base 40 to the terminal 30. Consequently, the user can select only the items desired to be received and receive only pieces of the data applicable to the items.
