PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability disk device permitting stable positioning control of a magnetic head even if mighty vibration and shock are applied to it during recording and reproduction of data. SOLUTION: This disk device is provided with an actuator 7 for positioning the magnetic head 2 to a disk 1, an actuator driving means 10, a voltage detecting means 11 for outputting a voltage signal Va generated by driving the actuator, a speed load estimating means 12 for estimating moving speed of the head 2 and a size of a disturbance load applied to the head 2 from a driving signal u and the voltage signal Va and outputting an estimated speed signal Vest and an estimated load signalτdest , a position detecting means 13 for generating a positional error signal (e) corresponding to a present position of the head 2, and a position control signal 14 for generating a position control signal (c) from the positional error signal (e) and the estimated speed signal Vest , and the head 2 is prevented form being deviated from a track against mighty external vibration and shock during recording and reproduction of data by outputting a driving signal (u) from the signalτdest and the signal (c).
