<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it takes time before a system is restored to a normal state since specification of a failed place is difficult and input/ output operations are hindered during restoration in the system having a host computer, an interface part and I/O parts. SOLUTION: This duplex system is provided with the host computer, first and second duplexed interface parts and the I/O parts to be accessed by the interface parts, a prescribed I/O part is accessed by the first interface part, when no response is obtained, other I/O parts except the I/O part, when no response from all the I/O parts is obtained, a similar operation is performed by switching the interface part to the second one and the failed place is detected from presence/absence of the responses from the I/O parts. Time to normal restoration is shortened since the failed place is specified.</p> |
