PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time division multiplexed data transmitter and receiver, which are not required to redesign hardware, when connecting with a new device. SOLUTION: A time division multiplexed data transmitter and receiver allocate each of a plurality of channels to a plurality of time slots in frame units to transmit and receive. The transmitter and receiver contain a means of inserting a valid/invalid signal to any one of the time slots, to allocate data of the channel to the remaining time slots.
