PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a portable telephone having an any key answer function in which a call incoming during key operation for memory dial registration, or the like, can be prevented from being responded by key operation for data input. SOLUTION: A timer 9 is actuated upon receiving a call and the call is responded by simply depressing a specified response key during actuation of the timer. The incoming call is not responded for other key input and normal key input processing is performed.
