PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical apparatus in which the free space of a memory is confirmed easily. SOLUTION: The electrical apparatus is provided with the memory 5 which stores information, a liquid crystal display 1 which can display a color, and a control circuit 6. The control circuit 6 acquires the information on the free space of the memory 5, it refers to a data table stored in a memory 7, it recognizes a display color corresponding to the empty capacity, and it controls a vertical-direction drive circuit 8 and a horizontal-direction drive circuit 9 which drive the panel 1 in such a way that the background color of the display screen of the panel 1 is changed to the recognized display color.
