PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio data editing method to enable a user to edit capacity of a digital audio file so as to be suitable for desired capacity, a recording medium to which the method is applied and a digital audio player so that memory utilization performance of the digital audio player is adjusted according to needs of the user. SOLUTION: In the digital audio player 30 capable of reproducing audio data stored in a memory 35 to store digital audio data, it is provided with a key input part 31 capable of adjusting a data extraction rate for the audio data inputted through an analog audio data input terminal 45, and a control part 32 to extract the audio data by the data extraction rate selected through the key input part 31 and to perform storage processing of the extracted audio data in the memory 35.
