PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting device which normally operates even in a cassette deck provided with a full auto-stop function and generates little mechanical noise at the time of operating when reproducing a compact disk or a mini-disk in the cassette deck installed on a vehicle. SOLUTION: A base half 6 is provided with a pair of hubs 8, 9; a gear 11 is arranged directly under the take-up hub 9 in such a structure that they are interlocked with each other and synchronized with the hub 9. A worm wheel 12a is mounted on the rotary shaft 28 on the base half 6 and meshes with the gear 11; the worm wheel 12a and a worm 13 prevents high speed rotation of the hub 9 but are set so as to operate within the velocity error at the time of reproducing a tape; the worm 13 is mounted on bearings 15; and the bearings 15 are fixed on the base half 1. Moreover, to prevent rotation irregularity of the worm, one of the bearings is provided with a spring member 14 to keep the load in balance at the time of rotating, and thus the rotation control mechanism is stabilized.
