PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic layered capacitor which has superior thermal shock resistance and dampproof characteristics and is equipped with an internal electrode made principally of Ni as a conductive component without lowering dielectric characteristics. SOLUTION: While the area rate of defects in a sectional polished surface of a dialectic ceramic layer 2 is kept below 1%, an interface layer 9 in Spinel structure which contains components of the dielectric ceramic layer 2 and internal electrode 3 and consists principally of an oxide of Ba-Ti-Si-Mg or Ba-Ti-Si- Mg-Al-Ni or MgAl2 O4 -NiAl2 O4 is formed between the dielectric ceramic layer 2 and internal layer 3. The rate of this interface layer 9 is preferably 5 to 95% in terms of the ratio of the length of the interface layer to the length of the internal electrode.
