PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplicate managing method, etc., for dissolving problems accompanying delay in detection of control information. SOLUTION: The duplicate managing method is for managing duplicate by embedding a digital watermark to indicate the control information regarding the duplicate in the contents consisting of digital information. A table including changed positions of the control information to the contents within a prescribed range and the contents of the control information to be changed at the respective changed positions is distributed with the contents.
