nondestructive testing of articles by eddy- current method, evaluation of quality of welded electric connections, for example, interelement connections in storage batteries. SUBSTANCE: proposed eddy-current converter comes in the form of plate with winding arranged around periphery. Plate with winding is bent to form working clearance. Spaces securing snugly fitting of winding to welded connection and access are made in plate in zone of working clearance. Converter provides capability to inspect quality of welded connections made through hole in dielectric plate. EFFECT: enhanced functional efficiency of eddy- current converter. 2 dwg
