PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact, light, and inexpensive plane antenna having a high gain and wide band property in a simple structure by improving a plane antenna for several thousands of Megahertz to be used for a PHS or a wireless LAN(local area network). SOLUTION: A substrate 4 is supported in parallel with a ground plate 2, and a loop-antenna pattern 4a in electrical lengthλis formed on the substrate. The loop antenna pattern resonates with the wavelengthλof communication radio waves while for the top end of a coaxial cable 3, an external conductor is grounded to the ground plate 2, and a core line 3a is extended by electrical lengthλ/4 from the external conductor, and the top end of the extended core line 3a is electrostatic capacity coupled via an electrostatic capacity (c) with the loop-antenna pattern 4a.
