Conventional piston pumps for braking systems are prone to cause problems of noise as a cause of pressure pulsations. The inventive piston pump for braking systems is characterized in that in the area of the outlet valve (24) an effective pulsation smoothing device (40) is provided. As a result, much less noises are produced and the service life of the piston pump (1) is substantially improved. The inventive piston pump is substantially used in anti-slip braking systems of motor vehicles.
