An instrument for walking a pet surely along a desired passage while lowering the possibility that a person tumbles or a pet rushes out from a specified range to meet a traffic accident, and for collecting/discarding excrement easily while sustaining an excrement containing means in clean state at all times. The instrument for walking a pet comprises means for collecting excrement of pet, a rod-like supporting means being fixed with the excrement collecting means at the forward end thereof, and a flexible member for fastening a pet to one end thereof, wherein the greater part of the fastening member on the other end part side thereof is arranged to be fixed removably to the supporting means.
