A vehicle seat (1) comprising a seat unit (10), a lift up unit (50), and a long slide unit (200). The lift up unit (50) moves the seat unit (10) betwee n the inside and outside of the compartment through a door opening D2 corresponding to the position of a passenger. The long slide unit (200) move s the seat unit (10) between the position of driver seat and the position of a passenger. When the seat unit (10) is at the position of driver seat, the li ft up unit (50) moves the seat unit (10) downward and locates the seat unit (10 ) at position suitable for driving.
