The invention relates to an assembly drum used to manufacture tyres, with the body (2) mounted on a central shaft (6) and with a generally cylindrical loading surface (3) for the products to be assembled as well as collars (4, 5). Said collars (4, 5) can be moved axially and radially between a retracted drum (1) position, wherein the diameter and axial length of the loading surface are minimum, and a working drum position, wherein the diameter and axial length of the loading surface (3) are far greater than in the retracted position. The collars, respectively, are provided with means (15, 16) of maintaining the constituent tyre products in contact with said collars. |
