PURPOSE: Provided is a hair conditioning composition which can directly act on micro-fibril to protect normal hair and to recover damaged hair. CONSTITUTION: The hair conditioning composition contains low molecular protein hydrolysate. Particularly, it contains 0.05-10.0 wt.% of low molecular keratin hydrolysate, and 0.08-10 wt.% of at least one kind of lipid selected from lanolin and its derivative, cholesterol and its derivative, fatty acid with a 8-membered carbon chain and its derivative, and fatty alcohol with a 8-membered carbon chain.
