PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for producing ink jet head cartridges which enables efficiently bringing tool ink tanks into a production line. SOLUTION: There are provided a transport conveyor 1 for transporting ink jet head cartridges loaded on pallets 120, an inspection device 10 arranged in the middle of the transfer of the transport conveyor for inspecting an ink discharge state of the ink jet head cartridge to which the tool ink tank is mounted, a return conveyor 2 for returning empty pallets 120 from the downstream side to the upstream side of the transport conveyor, shift devices 5-7 for separating the tool ink tank from the ink jet head cartridge and shifting the tool ink tank to the empty pallet running on the return conveyor at the lower stream side than the inspection device, and shift devices 3, 4 and 8 for separating the tool ink tank from the pallet running on the return conveyor and shifting the tool ink tank to the ink jet head cartridge running on the transport conveyor at the upper stream side than the inspection device.
