PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater water release valve which is provided on a downstream end of a water conduit pipe and reduces the vibration and noise generated during the underwater water release. SOLUTION: In this underwater water release valve in which a valve element 16 is coaxially disposed on a valve case 14 provided on the downstream end of the water conduit pipe in a reciprocatively controllable manner, a valve body 18 having a conical outer circumferential surface 18a with the coaxially tapered downstream side is disposed on the downstream side of this valve element 16, and the valve element 16 and the valve body 18 are abutted on and separated from each other to control the opening/closing of the downstream end part of the water conduit pipe, a collision member 30 is fixed to an external wall on the downstream side of the valve body 18 so as to be protruded into a part of a flow passage of jet water released between the valve element 16 and the valve body 18 in the open-controlled condition. A part of the jet water flow is disturbed by the collision member 30 to reduce the swirling flow and the re-merging flow at the place slightly far away on the downstream side. Growth and high density of cavitations are suppressed, a large number of cavitations are not collapsed at a time, and the noise and the vibration are reduced.
