PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for efficiently substituting predetermined gas supplied to a mold without generating waste. SOLUTION: In a molding apparatus equipped with an airtight mold, the piping communicating with the mold and a predetermined gas supply means for supplying predetermined gas to the mold, the gas existing in the supply route of the predetermined gas to the mold and in the mold is reduced and the predetermined gas is subsequently supplied to the mold to substitute the gas of the mold. An almost vacuum source allowed to freely communicate and interrupt may be arranged to the supply route of the predetermined gas to the mold, or an exhaust passage allowed to freely communicate and interrupt may be directly arranged to the mold.
