PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply circuit of a camera in which the occurrence of a malfunction of the total system of a camera is prevented even though the voltage of a battery is severely reduced during charging of a main capacitor for stroboscopic light emitting and the performance of the equipment is stabilized. SOLUTION: A power circuit group of a charging circuit 35, a DC/DC boosting circuit 39, an IFIC 16, a motor driver 17 and composite transistors 55 and 57 or the like is connected to the primary side of a battery power supply. An auxiliary circuit group of an MCPU 11, the IFIC 16, a display IC 30 and a regulator 34 which supplies power to the display IC 30, an MCPU 12 and an amplifying IC 13 is connected to the circuit 39 that becomes a secondary side. The MCPU 11 controls the regulator 34 so that the power supply to prescribed auxiliary circuits among the auxiliary circuit groups connected to the secondary side is shut down in a portion of the interval during the charging operation by the circuit 35 in accordance with the power supply capability of the circuit 39. Thus, the occurrence of a malfunction of the total system is prevented during a high loading interval such as a charging start and the equipment performance is stabilized.
