The arrangement includes an operating unit, a control circuit, and a display unit, whereby the display unit is operable in a stand-by operation mode and in a drive operation mode. The drive operation mode includes a number of display modes which correspond to respectively a static image display, and of which a desired display mode is selected by device of the operating unit. The display modes in the drive operation mode are provided for substituting a moving text or image display. The selection of the display mode is feasible in a special operation mode which is provided for a menu-controlled change of the basic settings of the display arrangement. The special operation mode can be initiated only at a standing or slowly moving vehicle, and the arrangement is automatically switched back to the main functions at a quickly moving vehicle. |
