PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the productivity of an image forming work at continuously forming images, and also, to prevent an image from being uselessly formed on an intermediate transfer body when a paper comes to an end, as for an image forming device provided with the intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: The productivity of the image forming work at continuously forming the images is enhanced by switching back the paper carried from a paper storing part 6 to a paper transfer means 3 through a reversing path 16 on the way of carrying. Besides, the whole length of the paper carrying path between the paper storing part 6 and the paper transfer means 3 becomes longer by arranging the reversing path 16, then, a distance between an image and the subsequent image formed on the intermediate transfer body 2 is made narrower even in the case of starting the image forming operation of an image to be formed on the subsequent paper after detecting that the subsequent paper lies in the paper storing part 6. The image is prevented from being uselessly formed on the intermediate transfer body 2 by interrupting the image forming operation in the case of detecting that the paper comes to an end. |
