PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably provide a resin rod-shaped article having a large diameter and no voids. SOLUTION: The resin rod-shaped article 10 has the maximum length of 300 mm or more in its diameter direction and is obtained by a manufacturing method having an extrusion process for extruding a molten resin, a cooling process for cooling the molten resin in a molding cylinder to solidify the same and a take-over process for taking over the resin rod-shaped article extruded from the molding cylinder. Especially, in the take-over process, at least one of a plurality of grasping means 14 and 17 movable along the extrusion direction is always moved in the extrusion direction at a take-over speed lower than the extrusion speed while grasping the resin rod-shaped article 10 to continuously take over the resin rod-shaped article 10.
