PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for reforming a wire body, relating to the apparatus for reforming the wire body used as a reinforcing material for rubber products of automobile tires, capable of greatly improving efficiency of an exchanging operation of a reforming device, productivity of the wire body by shortening preparatory time and enabling to bring the apparatus to be small. SOLUTION: This reforming device 5 is fitted by an engaging mechanism A installed to the side end of the inlet side or the outlet side of a wire body of a rotation shaft, the aforesaid engaging mechanism A is constituted of a filling material 10 quipped with a base-engaging channel 10a and a wire body- passing hole 3a and a mounting and dismounting material 11 for mounting and dismounting a reforming device 5 in the base-engaging channel 10, the mounting and dismounting material 11 has a structure equipped with a pressure device 13 for enabling to open and shut at least a part of the opening of the base-engaging channel. Thus, the reforming device is brought to be easily mounted and dismounted and the efficiency in the exchanging operation is greatly enhanced.
