PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-preheating apparatus for preventing fine waterdrop where unburnt combustible content and ash content from riding on an air current and adhering to equipment that is arranged on the downstream side for drying and hardening, and hence preventing the interference in the operation of the equipment when washing the air-preheating apparatus without using any soap and then drying the apparatus by fan blowing. SOLUTION: When air in an exhaust gas duct 2 is discharged strongly by rotating an induced draft fan 7 after the washing of the air-preheating apparatus 1 without using any soap is completed, high-speed air flow flows in the exhaust gas duct 2, and waterdrops at the gap of a heat-storing body 11 are blown off by air flow and become misty, fine waterdrops and are scattered with the air flow. The waterdrops flow down along one channel that is divided by a partition board 12, is inverted sharply near a flow-down well 9, and a straightening vane 6 straighten the flow of air flow passing through the inside in the flex section of the exhaust gas duct 2, so that fine waterdrops in the high-speed air flow hits against the wall of the flow-down well 9 for condensation and flowing down due to the inertia and centrifugal force, and flows out of an outlet at the bottom of the flow-down well 9. |
