PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition having high oil resistance and flame retardancy with neither halogen-based nor phosphorus-based flame retardant as the essential component, and to be optimally used for covering electric wires or cables. SOLUTION: This thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) a polyolefine resin, (B) a polyphenylene ether resin and (C) a specific polyorganosiloxane; wherein the weight ratio A/B is (30:70) to (80:20) and the amount of the component C is 0.1-10 pt(s).wt. of a total of the components A and B. In the resin composition thus obtained, the component A forms a continuous phase. |
