PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin reinforcing material for reinforcing cement, which is capable of easily being subjected to handling and mixing, being uniformly dispersed and exhibiting an excellent reinforcing effect and also to provide a reinforced cement formed body using the reinforcing material. SOLUTION: The production process of this synthetic resin reinforcing material comprises forming plural, uniaxially oriented synthetic resin filaments 2 into single yarn while providing each of the filaments with a twist, twisting plural lines of the obtained yarn together to form a twine, and cutting the twine into short twine pieces.
