PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel sheet-fabricated gasket which is structured of a chromium-free organic and inorganic treated film formed on the surface of a base material and is capable of inhibiting the deterioration of adhesive properties between a stainless steel and a rubber-coated layer over a long time and further, shows a high sealing effect and a superior durability when this gasket is used as a rubber-coated gasket. SOLUTION: An organic and inorganic composite film containing a titanium compound and a fluoride is formed on the surface of a part where at least rubber-coated layer for a gasket of a stainless steel base material is formed. The organic and inorganic composite film may contain a zirconium compound and is preferably formed with a dry deposition amount of 10 to 200 mg/m<2> .
