PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling operation and a heating operation by a constitution having no four-way valve in a refrigerating cycle of an air conditioner and to eliminate heat loss and pressure loss of a valve element and a pipe by simplifying a pipe constitution constituting the refrigerating cycle. SOLUTION: A hermetic container of a compressor is provide with a compression mechanism part A, a compression mechanism part B, and a motor part for driving the compression mechanism parts. During the cooling operation, only the compression mechanism part A is driven, and during the heating operation, only the compression mechanism part B is driven. A mechanism changing over a connecting pipe to the compressor from a suction side to a delivery side or the delivery side to the suction side is provided inside the compressor, or a mechanism changing over the connecting pipe to the compressor from the suction side to the delivery side or the delivery side to the suction side is provided outside in the adjacency of the compressor.
