PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet for forming a grid with an excellent electrical conduction by using a compound material consisting of carbon fiber and a lead alloy. CONSTITUTION:The 10 to 20mu fiber material which is obtained by thermally decomposing hydrocarbon such as benzene at approximately 1,100 deg.C using hydrogen gas as a carrier is thermally treated at approximately 3,000 deg.C and carbonized. A cloth-shaped body is obtained by weaving long fiber from such obtained carbon fiber. It is surface-treated, degreased, and cleaned in 60% nitric acid at 120 deg.C for 72hr, and is lead-deposited in vacuum. Then it is electrolytically plated. Carbon fiber cloth is contained in a mold and is pressure-reduction- cast. Besides, a manufactured sheet is rich in convexes and concaves by pre- spraying corks on the inner surface of this mold as an insulator and mold releasing agent. As a result, a fused lead alloy is easy to enter the space of the carbon fiber cloth and the decrease of the strength of the sheet and the increase of its electric resistance can be prevented. |
