PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating a furnace condition in a blast furnace, by which the continuously changing furnace condition at the lower part of the blast furnace is estimated non-steadily and time sequentially one by one to forecast a part having a suspicion that the damage to bricks in the furnace lower part of the blast furnace progresses partially and to perform a brick damage suppressing counter measure rapidly and properly. SOLUTION: The time sequential change of the temperature of a refractory is measured by a temperature measuring means arranged in a blast furnace hearth wall refractory and the furnace condition in the vicinity of the furnace bottom is estimated based on a heat flux value, which satisfies the temperature detected value by the heat transfer inverse problem solution method and exists in a position where the furnace operation surface calculation temperature is equal to the solidifying temperature of the molten iron.
