PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration cycle controller, in which a valve is operated smoothly by appropriately setting the frequency of a control signal for driving an expansion valve or the valve of a capacity varying mechanism of a compressor. SOLUTION: The expansion valve and the capacity of a variable capacity compressor are controlled by a control signal, having an optimal duty ratio and a driving frequency set optimally for duty ratio operated from various conditions. If a decision is made that the viscosity of lubricant be increased at the initial stage of starting operation, the drive frequency is set at a minimal value. When hunting occurs in the refrigeration cycle, the drive frequency of the capacity control signal is regulated along with an expansion valve control signal thus converging the hunting.
