PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-assisted bicycle kit capable of forming a bicycle into a power assisted bicycle by mounting a drive of an electric motor 5 by using a space on the left side of a conventional type bicycle so that the aged and female easily ascend a sloped road by the conventional type bicycle. SOLUTION: This kit is characterized by contriving to facilitate the ascending of the sloped road by transmitting power of the electric motor 5 mounted on the rear part of a saddle 4 to a left crank 9 via a speed reduction gear 6, a sprocket 7, a chain 8 and a chain wheel 3 and having an automatic shut-off device for preventing the electric motor 5 from being reversely driven by the rotation of the left crank 9 at the time of flatland traveling and an automatic stopping device for making an electric circuit of the electric motor 5 into an 'open' state when a person stops the rotation of a pedal when descending the sloped road. |
