PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bedding which prevents a needle from breaking by colliding with Bincho-tan (hard and high class charcoal mainly produced from Wakayama prefecture, Japan) when quilting is applied to enable quilting to be safely and easily applied. SOLUTION: Both faces of a filling material 9 are covered with a nonwoven fabric 10 to form an upper layer part 4 and a lower layer part 5. The both layer parts 4, 5 are housed in side cloths 3 and longitudinal quilting 7 and lateral quilting 8 are applied on the whole surface. Bincho-tan crushed into particles is adhered to space areas 12 partitioned by longitudinal quilting and lateral quilting and positioned on the upper face of the lower layer part 5.
