The skate frame is for a folding skate and is provided with a foot support with devices for its fixture to a skate shoe, together with a hinge on the foot support. Between an open folded and a tightly folded state is a frame part comprising a skate iron connected with the foot support and rotatable around the hinge. On the foot support and the frame part is a complementary lock device with a fixture component (11), with which a lock unit (12) works. Control devices emit a control signal to an electronic part of the lock device, particularly dependent upon a recording of force loading on the skate iron during one or more opening state movements. The electronic part of the locking devices comprises an electric motor (24), of which the output shaft (23) works in conjunction with the fixture component (11). A switch unit, dependent upon the receipt of the control signal, feeds current to the motor so that by rotation for the output shaft the fixture component moves from an effective fixture position to an ineffective position releasing the lock unit.
