PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium for an air filter, in which a powdery filtering agent such as a gas adsorbent, a gas decomposing agent and gas slow releasing agent can be packed excellently at uniform density and whose filtering performance is kept high in a long period of time. SOLUTION: This filter medium has a filtering agent particle-packed filtering agent layer disposed between exterior plates which are opposite to each other and each of which has an opened cell structure.
