A digital-analog converter comprising a digital waveform generating section (10) for combining items of digital data of a basic waveform generated depending on the value of input discrete data by convolution, a section (20) for performing oversampling and convolution of the output from the digital waveform generating section (10), and a section (30) for performing D/A conversion of the output from the convolution section (20). A basic digital waveform is subjected to amplitude modulation depending the discrete data and combined by convolution and then continuous interpolation values are obtained simply through oversampling and convolution. Conventional low-pass filter can be eliminated and deterioration of phase characteristics due to a filter is suppressed.
