PURPOSE: A lithium ion secondary battery using pouch as an exterior material and its preparation method are provided, to improve the adhesive strength of an anode and a cathode to a separator, thereby enhancing the charge/discharge efficiency of a battery. CONSTITUTION: The lithium ion secondary battery comprises a pouch(28) having a space(28a) in the inside; and an electrode assembly(10) which comprises an anode(21) where an anode active material is coated, a cathode(22) where a cathode active material is coated, and a separator(23) positioned between the two electrodes, and is positioned inside of the space of the pouch, wherein the anode, the cathode and the separator are wound, and the separator comprises a copolymer or a homopolymer or comprises a polypropylene material coated with a copolymer or a homopolymer.
