PURPOSE: Bubble capturing system and method are provided to emancipate the bubbles that are produced on electrode plates of an electrolytic cell in generating a mixed gas of hydrogen and oxygen from a hydrogen and oxygen generator. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for generating a mixed gas of hydrogen and oxygen in which the mixed gas of hydrogen and oxygen is generated by electrolyzing an electrolyte, a bubble capturing system comprises an electrolytic cell(10) in which a plurality of electrode plates are installed upright around an electrode rod(12) in a case(11); an electrolyte circulation line(20) for connecting a point of the case under the lower part of the electrode plates to a point of the case above the upper part of the electrode plates in a circulating manner; and an electrolyte circulation pump(30) installed on the middle of the electrolyte circulation line, wherein the bubble capturing system further comprises a heat exchanger(40) which is installed at the lower part of the electrolyte circulation pump to cool an electrolyte flown out from the electrolytic cell.
