PURPOSE: A mercury dispenser getter for an LCD backlight is provided to simplify the manufacturing process of a lamp glass tube for the LCD backlight by including mercury in the amalgam state as a component of the getter in the lamp, thereby removing any separate mercury injection step. CONSTITUTION: A mercury dispenser getter(1) for an LCD backlight is prepared by the steps of composing a compound by mixing Zr powder, V-Al compound powder, and Co powder at a weight ratio of 70;23;7, obtaining an amalgam of a mixture mixed with the compound and mercury at a weight ratio 50:50 at a high temperature of 300-1600°C, and filling the amalgam in a metal container(3) after powdering. |
