PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing time greatly and improve the economical efficiency greatly by omitting a strip shaped grid plate and the welding of the strip shaped grid plate, realizing strong assembly, omitting trouble in welding operation, and simplifying operation between narrow grids. SOLUTION: A strip shaped grid plate 11 is formed of a plate material of an approximately same width as that of a fuel assembly, and includes a plurality of hook shaped projection parts 14 and recessed parts 15 which can be engaged with them formed on both side edges along a width direction of the plate material. A flat grid plate 12 is formed of a plate material of an approximately same width as of a multiple of the width of the fuel assembly, and includes a plurality of slits 16 for inserting the strip shaped grid plate 11 at an approximately same interval as the width of the fuel assembly. An intersecting point of both grid plates are integrated into one body by combining the strip shaped grid plate 11 and the flat grid plate 12 in a grid shape and locking the hook shaped projection parts 14 and the recessed part 15.
