PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deviation occurring at the position of each control rod during driving and in stopping when the control rod is driven by driving an induction motor by on-off control and during a gang driving. SOLUTION: A plurality of control rods 6 are arranged in a reactor core 5 as an object to be controlled in a system. The induction motors 7 are respectively connected to a driving source of the plurality of the control rods 6. The position of the control rod is controlled by a semiconductor switching element 13B of a control rod driving auxiliary panel 3 for controlling power supply to the induction motors 7 and an electromagnetic brake 15. When the position of the control rod reaches to a previously determined value short of a target position, the power supply to the induction motors 7 and the electromagnetic brake 15 is cut off by the semiconductor switching element 13B and the electromagnetic brake 15 is operated.
